antra produces Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel and Syrah that has been called "sexy
and hedonistic” by Robert Parker.  Mantra’s wines are made by Mike Kuimelis, Jr., a mostly self-taught winemaker who grew up around vineyards and winemakers.  Mike’s vision is to produce hand-crafted wines that reflect the diverse terroir of Mantra’s vineyards.  To achieve this, he implements a wine making regimen which includes whole berry, small lot and some native yeast fermentations with minimal intervention.  All of Mantra’s wines are estate grown from the Kuimelis family’s mountaintop and hillside vineyards in the Alexander and Dry Creek Valleys of Sonoma County.  Primarily growers, the Kuimelis family has four unique vineyard sites—two in Healdsburg, one in Asti, and one in Cloverdale, totaling roughly 80 acres under vine.  The vineyards range in age from new plantings to 60 years old, and range in elevation from 500 to 1,100 feet.  Mike Kuimelis, Sr. and his wife Lorene have been growing grapes since the late 70’s.  Father and son have blended their individual expertise and shared love of wine and vineyards to produce Mantra Wines.  The Kuimelis
