John was raised in Carneros and Heather in the Coombsville region of the Napa Valley. The road to Grange Sonoma began with John and Heather briefly crossing paths in high school German class, before their paths diverged and then crossed again many years later when they were both living in the Bay Area. After a long stint living in Berkeley and Oakland, and a wedding in Carneros, they relocated back to the North Bay to open Grange Sonoma.
John, who acts as General Manager, brings to Grange Sonoma his fifteen years of experience in the wine industry, with a career that has focused on the sale of highly sought after wines, both direct to consumer and in the wholesale market. Heather, whose parents moved to Napa in the 1970s to start a small winery, comes from a wine-making family. When not helping out at Grange Sonoma, Heather practices law as a business attorney with Greene Radovsky Maloney Share & Hennigh LLP in San Francisco.
